Attempts to remove ventilator

On the 15th of March doctors attempted to remove Charlie's ventilator however it failed and Charlie's Lungs were unable to cope. Doctor explain we would try again in a few more days.

On the 17th March

Day 19

Charlie's Ventilator was removed and we all felt such relief, Charlie’s body was getting stronger by the day and eventually today was the day he had the ventilator removed and was able to breath on his own for the first time since he arrived. We were able to hold him lots more and was finally able to give him a good bed bath and dress him in some clothes.

You don't realise how significant just being able to wash your baby, dress your baby and feed your baby is. You cherish every little bit of time you have...

You just never know what's around the corner!!
